Vehicle Integration Presentation Spec

Role Summary

  • Controls the section EG
  • Makes the project status transparent while providing it for committees and drives
  • Coordinates the validation of EG experimental vehicles
  • Generates job splits (with development partners: general and EG-demands, testing issues, complexity of analysis and approval)
  • Complies and validates project budget
  • Makes decisions on requests, determines the need to escalate and prioritize required by the EG section
  • Synchronizes information from the EG section with committees
  • Knowledge of top-appraisals and top-failures
  • Represents the vehicle project in committees (representing the project in WOB)
  • Represents the TB on drives and in committees
  • Gives the approval recommendation for the EG-parts and whole vehicle

Role Responsibilities

EG- responsibly for vehicle project (national and international) in Volkswagen - (100%)

  • Makes statements of vehicle status
  • Makes relevant information concerning the project available for the EG-participants
  • Provides statements concerning technique and project status
  • Harmonizes EG-project status
  • Provides and shares all relevant information with Type tutor
  • Represents the Type tutor if needed

Qualifications

Years of Experience:

  • 6 years of experience in automotive industry

Education - Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent

Education - Desired

  • Master's degree in Engineering

Specialized Skills - Required

Knowledge in the automotive area, specifically

  • (international) involvement of the project participants for operating the EG-activities
  • escalation competence in vehicle project
  • requesting all information for vehicle maturity concerning EG
  • Engineering support at building of Production Reference Whole Vehicles and make updates
  • Permanent reporting of the Whole Vehicles, especially to R&D departments
  • Interface to Development Departments, EG intern and the other Departments like Production, Quality, Product management
  • Knowledge about test drives
  • Tracking of critical customer complaints
  • Permanent production checks in close collaboration with the development departments
  • Special automotive knowledge for training new hires
  • Escalation on issues to Wolfsburg

Specialized Skills - Desired

  • Experience in the co-operation with VW development department(s)
  • Experience in the VW development process (PEP)
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience on test drives

Work Flexibility

  • Readiness for domestic and international business trips, for example to visit special test drives, suppliers/ VW location in the US, Germany, Mexico or the R&D-Center in Wolfsburg
  • Readiness for professional trainings in Germany/Mexico (for a longer training period)
