About the Company: Direct Counsel is seeking typists and readers for a project based in California. Candidates will work in various locations throughout California, including Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Diego, and Orange County. This is a temporary assignment lasting 2-4 days.


About the Role: A short paragraph summarizing the key role responsibilities.


Responsibilities:


  • Partner with a test taker as a typist, providing necessary support during the examination.
  • Attend an orientation session in the designated location prior to the assignment.
  • Type accurately at a minimum speed of 70 words per minute.
  • Be available to start work at 7:30 am (non-negotiable)
  • Adapt to varying assignment durations, as some may end sooner or result in early dismissal after orientation.


Qualifications:


  • Previous experience as a typist, legal assistant, legal secretary, paralegal, administrator, or administrative assistant is preferred.
  • Unemployed individuals or those who can take several days off to assist are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates must not be law clerks, interns, or individuals planning to sit for the state bar in the future.


Locations: Various locations throughout Northern California and Southern California (Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Diego, Orange County).
