Job Summary

The Traveling Biomedical Equipment Technician II is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment at various healthcare facilities. This position requires extensive travel and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair biomedical equipment at various healthcare facilities
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
• Order and replace parts as needed
• Document all work performed and maintain accurate records
• Provide training to healthcare staff on proper use and maintenance of equipment
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards
• Communicate effectively with customers and management
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair
• Experience with a variety of biomedical equipment, including but not limited to, patient monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and ventilators
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
• Must pass background and drug screen
  
  
  

Working Conditions

The Traveling Biomedical Equipment Technician II will spend a significant amount of time traveling to various healthcare facilities. This position may require working in confined spaces and lifting heavy equipment. The technician may also be required to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate customer needs.
