Toyota-Denso Automotive Compressor Georgia, Inc. (TACG), established in 2004, is a subsidiary of Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO). TICO is a leading global manufacturer of automobile parts and assemblies, material handling equipment, and provider of logistics solutions. TACG specializes in the manufacturing of automobile air conditioning compressors.


TACG is based in Pendergrass, Georgia. This position is on-site at TACG 1000 Valentine industrial Parkway, Pendergrass GA 30657.


Department Purpose:

Human Resource (HR) department performs human resource management functions, such as finding, hiring, training, and supporting new employees. As a result, HR departments are responsible for such important tasks as reviewing resumes, keeping track of employee information, and ensuring a company complies with labor laws and employment standards.


Position Purpose:

Position requires the ability to rotate between office area and shop floor to build, create, organize and develop training curriculum, training plans, activities, training audits, and assessments for candidates, new hires, and new leaders in partnership with Department leadership and HR.


Main Responsibilities:

· Candidate must be a self-starter and create training schedules and timelines with expected completion dates.

· Selected candidate must be able to gather materials for classroom settings and organize and carry out classroom training on site.

· Conduct training that is engaging and effective for trainees.

· Develop and manage efficiency through KPIs, targets, and goal setting.

· Flexibility to work with department leadership throughout the company and shifts to ensure continuous engagement and effective training development as well as engage in training audits as needed.

· Participate in continuous self-development, research, and benchmarking to ensure training is up-to-date and effective for various learning styles.


· Development and management of the Professional Training Program is a key project and responsibility of this training position.

Ø Develop learning and certification programs for Specialist, Engineers, ATL, TL, Supervisor, and Management professionals in the areas of:

i. Global Common Training (Precepts, TI-JI, TI-TC, TIBP, OJT, TPS, and Kaizen)

ii. Skill Development (LMS system Mgt., Presentation, and Project Management)

iii. Leadership (Communication, Training skills, and Competency)

Ø Support External Course Management

i. Education programs and Grant management

ii. Community and Candidate Development (College & High School Partnership, WBL programs, Intern programs)

iii. Alternative employment programs (ESL and Americans with Disabilities)

Ø Support the Training Department as needed in other areas.


Qualifications, Education & Specifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in leadership role preferred.

· 10+ years of experience in Professional role preferred.

· Requires a high level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.


· Must have and display a positive attitude while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Ø Build and maintain professional relationships and foster a teamwork environment.

Ø Address associate issues and concerns identified during training sessions.

Ø Lead by example in support of TICO, TACG, & TICA Values, Precepts, and Principles as well as Company rules and expectations.


Candidates must create and present a 5-10-minute training presentation (topic of their choice) to present during the interview process.

· Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

· Clear and professional communication skills in written and spoken English

· Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-cultural, team oriented environment

· Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel

· Ability to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

· Ability to lift and/or move at least 10 pounds.

· Specific vision abilities including close vision and distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.


Additional Responsibilities:

· Assists with the development and administration of programs, policies, and guidelines to help align the workforce with company strategic goals

· Assist with the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance development plans

· Partner with management in the communication of HR policies, procedures, programs, and regulations

· Participate in investigations when associate complaints or concerns are brought forth.

· Administer FMLA and disability claims

· Coordinate the hosting of special events and social activities as necessary

· Coordinate communication meetings, newsletter and other communication tools

· Work and collaborate with associates at TIESNA, MI

· Perform other duties as assigned


Supervision:

This position reports to the general Manager of Human Resource and will have significant working relationship to Toyota Industries Corporations’ Associates.
