Description
The Trainer supports the growth and development of employees by facilitating both in person, and online skill building coursework to develop on-the-job expertise, soft skills, communication, customer service and other career path essentials. The incumbent contributes to the overall effectiveness and job readiness of new representatives ensuring employees acquire the necessary skills, knowledge and attributes to meet the organizational and departmental goals.

Main Responsibilities
Associate degree in business, adult learning, education or related field; classroom or individual training experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or instructional experience. Batchelor degree preferred.
Work is performed independently under limited supervision with considerable latitude. Position typically requires processing and interpreting complex, less clearly defined issues.

- This is an onsite position in Fort Myers. The starting salary for this position is $44,100.00 but it could vary slightly based on experience and/or education. New employees are hired at or near the starting salary shown depending on qualifications and relevant experience. **

Main Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the performance development team to develop and facilitate a variety of trainings, including classroom, on-the-job and virtual courses that include shared expectations, procedures, technical skills, communication, other soft skills and practices that promote our vision, mission and organizational culture.
- Collaborates with the performance development team to ensure adult learning best practice, research-proven instructional strategies and learner feedback and outcomes are used to continuously enhance the quality, engagement and learning application results of all trainings and resources.
- Assists with new hire onboarding, training, success checks and regular learning feedback to the trainee, performance development team and management regarding the trainee’s progress towards meeting expectations.
- Actively contributes to, reflects on, and incorporates feedback to continuously improve their own instructional practices, content expertise, and learning resources along with contributing to those of the performance development team.
- Proactively addresses trainee requests or concerns; researches concerns and collaborates closely with management and the performance development team to resolve concerns promptly.?
- Collaborates with subject matter experts across the organization and participates in applicable and ongoing professional growth opportunities to learn and remain up to date on training-specific policies, procedures, bulletins, applicable laws, legislation and agency updates; along with related adult education professional literature, research and instructional best practices.
- Performs other duties as directed.?
- Experience with new employee training, coaching and/or mentorship
- Experience with one or more of the following: Motor Vehicle, Driver License and Identification Card, Business Tax Receipt, Real Estate Tax, and Hunting and Fishing transactions. ?
- Specialist Level (or equivalent) Tax Collector experience and proficiency with Industry standard applications.

- High ability to collaborate, listen, adjust practices, and apply feedback to improve as a learner, practitioner, team member and agency representative.
- Willingness to learn the duties, procedures and processes required to teach courses, support On the Job Training (OJT) and upskilling as needed for new and existing employees in one more of the following areas: Motor Vehicle, Driver License and Identification Card, Business Tax Receipt, Real Estate Tax, and Hunting and Fishing transactions. ?
