Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tooling designs and processes to support manufacturing operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tooling meets production requirements
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify optimal tooling solutions
  • Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Vault, Mastercam, AutoCAD)
  • Perform root cause analysis on tooling issues and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source and procure tooling components
  • Conduct testing and validation of tooling designs to ensure functionality and reliability
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production teams regarding tooling maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in tooling technology

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Vault, and Mastercam for creating engineering drawings
  • Experience with codes standards and regulations related to tooling design and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Inventor, or other relevant software/tools
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis on tooling issues and implement effective solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent English is a must, and Spanish is a plus.
  • CNC operation and programming skills are a significant plus.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
