Tech Lead - Security Support Engineer

Title: Security Support Engineer - Tech Lead

Location: Austin, TX preferred - fully remote available.

Duration: 6 months, can extend to 24 months

Compensation: $70/hr-$75/hr

Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Skillset / Experience:

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will support programs that deliver new and innovative approaches to securing access management on a massive scale.
  • You will be responsible for working directly with internal and external customers to assist them with adopting new security products and adjusting their platform configuration to comply with the latest security standards.
  • You will help contribute to best practices and implement automation & bulk remediations whenever possible.
  • You will serve as the point of contact for support and mentorship for other engineers.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or related
  • 7+ years of experience supporting customers (internal or external) on critical security initiatives, ideally within IAM
  • Experience with automation scripting in Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or similar
  • Experience with SQL scripting
  • Understanding of best practices & fundamentals for security engineering including secure development, cloud security, application security.
  • Strong IAM experience.
  • Hands-on experience using and/or securing services in AWS
  • Results oriented, high energy, self-motivated
  • Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Experience working directly with end customers to gather requirements and develop solutions to ambiguous technical security issues
