Position Overview
Assembly Team Lead solves problems and recommends solutions. Team Lead supports function and output of area operations so that production levels are maintained, and equipment is repaired and operating correctly. is committed to performing the role safely and wears all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) correctly.
Areas of Focus
Assembly Team Lead is committed to perform the role safely and wears all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) correctly. Additionally, Team Lead ensures proper procedures are followed by all employees in area including safety, quality, and production.
Responsibilities
Distribute department work orders (production, shipping, etc.)
Ensures safety supplies and personal protective equipment are used appropriately
Complete required documentation for production, inventory, SPC, and administration
Complete required computer system input, analysis, and reports relative to the area
May record employee performance events in department log
Communicate various company policies and procedures to employees
May give verbal input regarding employee performance during employee review process
Understand and follow work instructions
Conduct and coordinate the training of new employees
Ensure proper procedures are followed by all employees in area including safety, quality, and production.
Review the function and output of area operations to ensure that production levels are maintained, and equipment is repaired and operating correctly
Follow and maintain Lean activities (5S, housekeeping, hygiene, etc.)
Must complete CPI training (methodology). Assist with training as needed
Familiar with ISO process
Must be clean shaven
Must follow strict hygiene rules including mandatory showering and lunch periods on site
You must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time
Ability to work 12-hour shifts when needed
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or greater
3-4 years’ manufacturing/plant experience with a strong and consistent work history
Forklift certification
Basic knowledge of Microsoft programs
Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions
Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
