Part-Time Teaching Assistant/Grader - Remote

Role Description:

This is a remote contract role for a Teaching Assistant/Grader at Harvard Extension School. The Teaching Assistant/Grader will be reporting to me and providing support by assisting with grading assignments, conducting research, and providing feedback to students. The Teaching Assistant/Grader will assist with course administration, such as managing online discussion boards, regularly responding to student emails, and holding weekly office hours. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail are necessary skills for this position. Contracts, as course are purely dependent on student enrollment.

Qualifications:

Minimum REQUIRED

• Master's degree (MA/MS/MFA) in computer science, IT, design, graphic design, communications design, or related field
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Digital Media Design, particularly Visual Communication Design and Human-Computer Interaction
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Ability to hold one weekly virtual meeting
• Ability to hold one weekly virtual office hour and appointments
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Experience with online learning platforms or learning management systems (LMS)
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to draft strong professional emails
• Experience in grading assignments and providing feedback helpful
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Salary is highly competitive, but contractual and set by the University.
