Supervisor Rehabilitation Services

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Direct supervision and management of 3-10 rehab staff including physical therapists, occupational therapists and physical therapy assistants

  • Triage of incoming requests for deployment of rehab staff based on clinical complexity and urgency

  • Ensure requests for staff are complete and appropriate for assignment via communication with requestor and assign request to appropriate team member

  • Review of clinical documentation and records created by team members to ensure accuracy and timeliness

  • Accountable for overall outcome of deployment of rehab staff

  • Accountable for maintaining equitable and efficient productivity of rehab staff via evaluation of caseloads and clinical competence

  • Provide clinical supervision of staff and provide clinical guidance and coaching for complex situations that require coordination with other clinicians including but not limited to care partners, Clinical Directors, Clinical Managers, central units to ensure member needs are being met. This includes rehabilitation specific situations such as evaluating legitimacy and coordinating cost effective solutions for DME

  • Monitor and work on logs (via delegation) to facilitate timely response to member needs (for g. monitor fall log and initiate fall response).

  • Addresses internal personnel issues, problem-solves local issues and engages in conflict management

  • Mentor and coach new staff

  • Collaborates with Clinical Education and Training to oversee and ensure competencies for newly-hired clinicians

  • Provide rehab specific In-service, training and orientation to clinical team

  • Prove coverage for absence of Rehab Manager including leading team meetings

  • Identify and work on opportunities for operational improvement under direction of Rehab Manager, to improve the performance of CCA

  • Prepares and analyzes reports to manage patient care and team performance

  • Assesses appropriateness of incoming requests and team's processes over time to suggest opportunities for improvement


Secondary Responsibilities



  • Outreach to potential and existing vendors promoting and educating CCA model of care (e.g. DME vendors)

  • Participates in cross-organizational working groups to continuously improve team performance.

  • Participates in CCA Quality Improvement efforts.

  • Participates in committees and workgroups that promote clinical excellence and help to advance CCA's mission and business objectives

  • Actively participates in the evaluation of own performance and progress.
