Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About The Team

Strategy & Analytics (S&A) maximizes and accelerates Operations' ability to make Stripe work for our users. We aspire to be the COOs for Stripe Ops, working cross-functionally with global teams to help run the day-to-day business and articulate and achieve the longer term, high effort, high value strategic priorities. We take a data-driven approach that combines strategy, analytics and core data infrastructure to help Ops leaders solve their most complex and most important issues while also driving the business planning and operational cadence end-to-end, from strategy to goal-setting to execution.

What you’ll do

This Strategy and Planning position is a highly cross-functional role that will lead key work streams across product, engineering, legal, risk, support, sales, and other teams. You will deliver objective analysis, insights, strategy and execution for mission critical efforts. Your work will create a meaningful impact for Stripe users and therefore Stripe’s business. You may dig into new market segments, design new business systems and processes that scale, help us build and launch new products, or unlock new revenue and cost saving opportunities. In addition to having proven strengths in strategy, analysis, and delivering results, successful candidates will be creative and curious, with the keen commercial and product sense necessary to build great solutions for Stripe users.

We work on what will move the needle most for Stripe. We care about results, and we have fun doing it. If you like hard problems, working collaboratively across teams, and moving with urgency and focus, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning: Help identify, plan for, and execute on new opportunities for Stripe
  • Influence stakeholders: Influence and drive cross-functional change by partnering with stakeholders across a wide internal network including Ops, Product/Engineering, Finance, Data Science, and more
  • Drive operational excellence: Design, optimize and drive operational reviews and rhythm of the business, leading business analysis and end to end projects with a data-driven approach; generate analytical insights which inform executives and management of opportunities, risks, and strategic priorities to take proactive actions
  • Manage and lead projects: Incubate, design and implement the business and operational systems and processes that help us scale within Stripe
  • Communicate with executives: Create narratives and documents that tell the story of Product Operations to influence senior Operations leadership and Stripe executive team decision making
  • Surface and amplify insights: Identify the trends in our data that aren’t immediately apparent, amplify them across teams, and solve the problems we identify

Hybrid work at Stripe

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (typically, 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $152,700 - $229,100. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
