Strategic Sourcing Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Strategic Sourcing Manager specializing in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance or economics, combined with extensive experience in strategic procurement and vendor management within government contracts. This role demands a meticulous understanding of regulatory compliance and a strategic mindset to optimize procurement processes and costs effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies aligned with organizational objectives and compliance requirements under FAR and DFARS.
• Lead procurement activities for government contracts, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and maximizing value through competitive sourcing and negotiation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure all procurement activities meet compliance and financial objectives.
• Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to mitigate risk and ensure quality and delivery expectations are met.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing methods, benchmarking, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
• Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management regarding procurement strategies, cost savings initiatives, and compliance issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of X years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within government contracting and familiarity with FAR and DFARS.
• Strong understanding of federal procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven track record of negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and delivering cost savings in a complex organizational environment.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, assess supplier capabilities, and drive data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Certification in procurement (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
