Our iron-rich cathodes are industry proven drivers of EV, ESS, and consumer electronics applications, and our team of industry leaders is developing a robust supply chain and manufacturing pipeline to deliver Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) qualified cathodes to our customers.

We have set up a state-of-the-art 15,000 sq ft industrial R&D center in Mountain View, CA. Join our team and be a part of the growing battery revolution.

We are looking for a FP&A / Finance Associate to join immediately in-person in San Francisco / Greater Bay Area.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead month end close processes and manage multiple vendors including accounting and billing teams
  • Providing monthly budgeting, variance analysis and forecasting support to multiple stakeholders, including business unit leaders, C-suite, and board
  • Manage internal procurement function including billing, invoicing & PO tracking, and occasional contract negotiations with larger vendors
  • Work with HR to support headcount planning, forecasting and other operational items
  • Building and managing operational and projection models for the overall business
  • Assist in the development and management of new reporting and analysis tools for performance monitoring including KPI and dashboarding tools for our R&D lab
  • Support fundraising efforts through investor pipeline management, data room creation, and supporting in diligence responses
  • This role will have an opportunity for growth for the individual who can own the FP&A side of the finance division and shows a desire for strategic exposure

Qualifications:

  • 1-4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus but not required
  • Experience with financial modeling (key requirement), budgeting, and forecasting
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Relentless sense of ownership, curiosity, and initiative and a self-starter mindset

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in a bonus and equity plan
