Position: Storage Engineer

Location: Englewood, CO (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Duration: 6 month contract

Required Skills & Experience

- 7-10+ years of engineering experience

- Strong aptitude with:

o Dell PowerMax

o Dell PowerStore

o Brocade SAN - VMware

- Ability to perform Dell storage migration, especially from platform to platform (i.e. PowerMax to PowerStore and vice-versa)

Job Description

Our client is a Fortune 100 telecommunications company, and their Application Platforms Services team is looking for a Storage Engineer to work in their Infrastructure as a Service group focused on on-prem cloud by ensuring reliability, availability, scalability of IaaS platforms, cloud infrastructure, automation and tooling. The primary objective of the role is to perform storage migrations to consolidate from multiple legacy arrays to less new arrays and then decommission the legacy arrays and get them prepared to move off the floor (data center). This is a on-prem private data center environment supporting the company’s national footprint.

On a day-to-day basis, candidates will:

- Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure for our on-premises private cloud IaaS offering.

- Design, build, and maintain the infrastructure, monitoring and alerting systems, and ensuring high availability of our services.

- Play a key role in automating processes and developing tools to improve operational efficiency. This role will focus on Data Protection Platforms.

- Develop and implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the reliability and availability of our services.

- Automate processes and develop tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

- Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.

- Conduct regular performance testing and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance of the infrastructure.

- Ensure that our PaaS and IaaS platforms meets the needs of our customers, including internal and external stakeholders.

- Develop and implement processes for incident management, problem management, and change management in alignment with Incident and Change Management Polices

- Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of PaaS and IaaS services to identify and resolve issues proactively.

- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans and perform regular testing to ensure their effectiveness.

- Participate in capacity planning and performance optimization efforts.

- Perform Installation, Upgrades and Implementation of Rubrik Data Protect systems.

This role has a pay range of $65-$75/hour, depending heavily on years and level of experience.
