STAFF to SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Are you looking for a growth opportunity? If so, our search firm has partnered with a fast-growing, entrepreneurial company to assist in their search for a Staff Accountant and a Senior Accountant to join their Finance team.
The person hired for each position will be a natural problem-solver who is independent, coachable, detail-oriented, and continually seeks process improvements.

Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly, quarterly and year end accounting close activities
Process/record daily cash transactions and update cash forecast accordingly
Perform account reconciliations on various general ledger accounts and use problem solving skills to research and remediate any reconciling differences
Oversee month-end close of assigned subledgers (i.e., Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory)
Assist, as needed, with AP. AR, and Payroll
Perform monthly account analysis, research variances, and communicate insights with leadership
Use GAAP accounting expertise to serve on cross-functional project teams to provide accounting guidance for various projects and new initiatives across the business
Evaluate current processes and procedures and recommend changes
Perform ad-hoc projects, tasks, and analysis to help support decisions, resolve issues, or support various business needs
Participate in the annual financial statement audit by preparing requested workpapers/schedules
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Accounting or Bachelor’s degree in business with 18+ hours of accounting credits completed
CPA, CMA, or CFE a plus
Public accounting audit experience a plus
Minimum 2 years (staff)/4 years (senior) of relevant accounting experience with solid understanding of general ledger and financial statements
Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word
Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
Detail oriented with history of consistently meeting deadlines
