Description

RENK Systems Corporation is seeking a Sales Manager (Navy) to maximize RENK’s success on current and next generation US Navy and US Coast Guard programs and forging critical relationships with the end users, shipyards, and industry teammates. This role is focused on managing the naval sales operations team at RENK Systems Corporation, as well as supporting RENK Group on select commercial sales efforts within the US, Canada, and Mexico. This is a remote position.

What You Will Do

  • Developing and implementing business acquisition strategies aligned with RENK objectives.
  • Actively lead capture efforts to respond to Government Sources Sought, Requests for Information/Proposal.
  • Develop new accounts and maintain existing accounts by establishing a personal working relationship with key customer decision makers based on value, knowledge, trust, and character.
  • Develop and lead campaigns to secure RENK’s naval ambitions in the U.S.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their most urgent needs and develop pursuit strategies to address the need.
  • Seek opportunities to participate and support networking opportunities at key Navy business centers (San Diego, CA; Norfolk, VA; Jacksonville, FL and Washington, DC).
  • Develop and maintain a high-level understanding of national market, client, and technology trends and advancements.
  • Maintain competitive intelligence and market information on marine propulsion technologies, vessel designs and other aspects of the marine industry.
  • Attend industry events, research industry trends, and communicate critical information on market trends back to the RSC management and the RENK Group team.
  • Responsible to meet order intake targets defined by the RSC Managing Director and M&I Division Leadership.
  • Maintaining close working relationships with other corporate areas: Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Finance within RSC and with RENK Group in Germany.
  • Prepare and present formal presentations to end users and customers.

  • Must have ability to forge teams, partnerships, and alliances to win acquisitions.
  • Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of RENK Group products, services, and applications.
  • Possess interpersonal communications skills (Verbal and written).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple accounts at one time.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Position Requirements

  • Deep customer knowledge and familiarity of the market environment.
  • 10-15 years of experience in business development within the naval or maritime industry with demonstrated performance winning new business.
  • Must have existing relationship with defense industry and US Navy and/or US Coast Guard acquisition personnel.
  • Prior U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast officer career strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business adminstration and/or technical field.
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Windows based PC tools.
