, Job Description

The Proposal Writer will work closely with leadership, operations, and other aligned teammates within Government Medical Services (GMS) to expand our business management team health solutions pipeline and footprint within HHS, DHS, DoD, DoS and other targeted agencies. Develop and maintain relationships with influential primes/subs and medical and strategic partners to drive the program business. This includes developing and executing compelling and compliant proposals to win new business and support contract recompetes.

, Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree a plus
  • 2-3 years of experience using GOVWIN and or DACIS
  • 2-3 years of experience with Salesforce
  • Understanding of Cobblestone a plus
  • Experience using proposal software for compliance checks

Required Work Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in proposal writing and management, preferably for federal government contracts.
  • Experience working on healthcare and medical direct care proposals
  • Demonstrated successful track record of supporting and winning medical services contracts for federal and state agencies
  • Working knowledge of federal acquisition processes and regulations

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible work hours (late hours and weekends as needed)
  • Detail-oriented and assertive with the ability to problem-solve and influence decision-makers
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Persuasive, articulate, and able to work with entire team

Required Skills And Knowledge

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Skilled in proposal management software
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (Weekend work required)
  • Good analytical and research skills to develop creative and compliant proposal responses
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
  • Experience working on healthcare and direct medical care proposals

Travel Requirements

  • As required, but can expect up to 10% travel
  • Remote work schedule

Compensation: Min $83,000| Max 150,000

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
