Reporting Relationship: Reports to the General Manager and directly supervises, Operations, Quality Inspection, Production Planning, Purchasing, Project Management, and Maintenance.
Job Objective: Provides general leadership and strategic direction for the company. Responsible for the overall efficiency and effectiveness (OEE) of all manufacturing operations and supporting functions.
Responsibilities:
Partner with other members of the Leadership Team to establish company vision, mission, and values to formulate both short term and long-term strategic plans that support the needs of all key stakeholders
Ensure company operational objectives are defined, understood, and translated into departmental strategies to assist all employees to participate in effective implementation
Constantly models behavior grounded in company core values to promote and sustain the existing culture
Plan, direct and coordinate all manufacturing activities, supply chain, logistics, and project support for both quoting and new orders
Continuously monitor capacity of all operations while collaborating with Sales for future workload. Identify and create capital expenditure justifications for additions or replacements of machinery and equipment
Assess capabilities of manufacturing processes and proactively recommend improvements to align with business growth factoring in risk, quality, and efficiency. Must maintain a strategic cross-training plan
Identifies and implements process improvements to reduce risk and improve quality, productivity, and safety
Develop and analyze key performance indicators (KPI's) while escalating concerning trends to implement countermeasures where necessary to improve performance
Develops and trains supervisors/managers within assigned departments. Coordinates efforts of all reporting managers to the strategic plan and culture initiatives
Effectively collaborate with Sales and Engineering to ensure project planning is robust and proactively mitigates risk of failure to meet all customer requirements including quality, delivery, cost, and safety
Provide leadership to Planning and Procurement to ensure our supply chain is suitable to meet our quality and delivery requirements of the business while assessing future risk and cost requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business management, Operations, Engineering, or related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
15+ years operations management experience in a relevant industry. 10+ years previous experience managing others
One or more of the following is desired: Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Project Management Profession (PMP) Certification
Must be a strategic thinker who is highly analytical and tech savvy
Prove ability to develop strategies that drive growth
Demonstrated ability to effectively delegate tasks to others
Exceptional organizational abilities, both in physical and electronic workspace
Strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to persuade others through local communication
Proven ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
