Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual for the position of Sr. Manager, Strategy for the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD). In this role, you will have the exceptional opportunity to shape and drive the strategic direction of our Division. Your proven expertise in developing and implementing strategies will be crucial in contributing to our ongoing success.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the market landscape, monitor industry trends, changes in competitive environment, and identify growth opportunities
  • Conduct thorough market analyses, appropriately segment the market and develop market sizing models
  • Identify key strategic challenges and opportunities based on these trends - both organic and inorganic (M&A), generate insights on their impact on the division, and deliver data and recommendations to division leadership on path forward
  • Support the development of the long-range Strategic Plan (STRAP) driving the strategic direction for our organization
  • Ensure flawless execution of key initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing project management support, and objective analysis and decision support
  • Establish effective working relationships with global Commercial Organizations to gain competitive and market insights (VOS & VOC)
  • Partner with key external data providers and overall budget for data sources

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Life Sciences or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategy, management consulting, or a similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record in making data-driven decisions
  • Excellent leadership abilities, with the ability to influence and inspire others towards a common goal
  • Demonstrated track record of effectively implementing critical projects and driving business expansion
