The duties and responsibilities of the Sr. Formulation Scientist will include the following:
Lead the formulation development efforts of new agricultural products, including biological and chemical active ingredients such as micro-organisms, proteins, peptides, plant extracts, viruses, natural derived or synthetic chemicals
Collaborate with our clients to ensure alignment between formulation development, regulatory requirements, and commercial objectives
Design and optimize formulation compositions to improve product performance, stability, and efficacy
Conduct laboratory experiments and tests to evaluate the physical and chemical properties of formulations
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in agricultural formulations and actively contribute to innovative ideas and new approaches
Follow established protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for safe and efficient laboratory practices
Record and document all experimental information and organize, analyze, summarize, and report the final results
Communicate effectively with other team members and our clients. Present experimental results and progress in group discussions and project updates
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed

Technical Qualifications:
PhD or Master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in agricultural formulation development, preferably in a research or industrial setting
Proven track record of successfully developing and commercializing innovative agricultural products
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines governing agricultural formulations
Fast learner with strong curiosity and passion in biological and chemical formulations and hands-on experimentation
Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and a willingness to take risks
Enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a small start-up company
