We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team in Carlsbad, CA!
As a Sr. Financial Analyst within our Government Segment, you will play a critical role by supporting the Business Area Finance Director and Program Managers in business unit-level financial control. We empower you to provide financial analysis for business area planning and decision making. Your experience in preparing, analyzing, and reporting actual results against project and org operating plans for awards, sales, margins, receivables, inventory, capital, and headcount. Demonstrate your skills to perform monthly accounting close process to include preparation of required accounting entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Working across our dynamic financial team, you will prepare monthly rolling forecasts and cost/profit analysis. You will also support proposal preparation and assist in the preparation of division financial budgets and operating plans.
The day-to-day
Experience in full profit & loss statement, balance sheet, cash management.
Experience in a manufacturing environment and programs for both products and services.
Comprehension of financial statements and how to use them to analyze business performance.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to drive performance and be a change leader.
Project accounting experience with an emphasis on EAC development
Support month-end close process, reporting and variance analysis.
Develop/run complex financial models to ensure alignment with leadership, financial performance objectives, and appropriate accounting conventions.
Preparation of accurate, timely, and consistent reporting including key financial metrics and KPIs
Experience in the development of detailed business case analysis and return on investment analysis.
What You'll Need
5+ years of Finance Experience with a mix of Program Finance, P&L Finance, and FP&A
Systems experience with proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related area.
Understanding of CAS, FAR with prior government contracting experience
Knowledge of GAAP accounting
US Government position. US Citizenship is required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
What Will Help You On The Job
Experience with Hyperion and Oracle highly preferred
MBA and/or CPA
Management experience in a public company
Excel VBA a plus
Salary range
$120,000.00 - $208,500.00 / annually
