Job Summary:

Working within the BTS Finance & Supply Chain team of Global DIT, this primary purpose of this position is to manage, maintain and develop the Quaker Houghton ERP environment, predominantly JD Edwards (JDE). As a senior level position, expected activities include managing large technical projects and managing third-party development consultants assigned to projects. Additional responsibilities will include developing and executing effective object control processes, maintaining an effective application and enhancement inventory and project time and cost estimation. The position will frequently interact with other members of the DIT department, subject matter experts from the business and senior business management.

Job Responsibilities:

DIT ERP Projects

  • Works with DIT Functional Solution leads, Process Leaders and other key users to analyze requirements and assists in clarifying or writing functional specifications.
  • Develops technical specifications with resource estimates that will fulfill and implement functional specifications.
  • Performs project management activities for some technical projects.
  • Modifies and/or configures changes in JDE to meet the functional and technical requirements.
  • Manages external development resources.
  • Manages technical delivery of features for project Sprints.
  • Performs unit testing on all development and configuration changes to ensure the highest quality work is delivered.

General Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all work is done within the scheduled/allotted time and communicates any potential deviations from the plan in a timely manner.
  • Helps to build and maintain an application and modification portfolio within effective object control policies.
  • Works with leadership to build a roadmap for all ERP applications.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of all system configuration codes and settings and ensures these are managed in the approved manner.
  • Monitors the data integrity of the JDE systems and helps to resolve data disputes or conflicts.
  • Maintains strong working relationship with assigned 3rd party vendor.
  • Ensures that SOX controls are properly documented, maintained, and executed.

Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies:

  • BA/BS degree in Management Information Systems or equivalent.
  • 7+ Years of Development Experience using JDE EnterpriseOne toolset.
  • 7+ Years Functional Knowledge of JDE EnterpriseOne.
  • 5+ Years experience with JDE site implementations.
  • Superior technical JD Edwards (JDE) skills are essential to this role.
  • Strong Experience with the JDE E1 Development Tools, JDE Orchestrator, Bottomline Transform and DSI (Barcoding) experience preferred.
  • Strong general business process knowledge and SOX compliance experience.
  • Experience at managing offshore / 3rd party relationships preferable.
  • Object-oriented programming including C++, Java, VB, SQL, and RPG400 preferred.
  • Project management experience in an Agile development environment preferred.
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills.
