Overview

Bring leadership on ingredient procurement and market knowledge, influencing business needs and commercial results to the company.

This role is responsible for ingredient sourcing to support McCain North American Direct Materials team. This includes but is not limited to market and industry dynamics, supplier research and evaluations, supply chain risk, ingredient category spend and price variances as well as work with the data master leader for material setup and maintenance in system. In addition, the role will also lead and facilitate the strategic sourcing of $20 million in NA spend. The scope of this position includes category strategy development, ongoing category management, contract negotiations and supplier relationship development and management.

Communications and Interactions – The person will manage multiple internal and external organizational relationships. They will lead the overall supplier relationship strategy for spend area, ensuring proper commercial treatment of suppliers by reinforcing policy, ethics and our strategic approach with suppliers and with other company departments.

Engage and collaborate cross functions and other team members to deliver best practices and accelerated results.

Job Responsibilities

• Drive cost focused strategy for ingredient spend area
• Lead the sourcing strategy to deliver cost savings targets through the delivery of Sustainable Cost Advantage Program
• Responsible for Financial analysis through Price Purchase Variance reviews, budgeting, costing, etc.
• Build supplier relationships for the relative markets to deliver value to company
• Ensure company purchases in the spend pool comply with company internal controls requirements
• Build up strong and effective relationship with McCain cross function team to deliver initiatives and execute category strategy, including savings programs
• Support implementation of supplier systems across quality and sustainability
• Strategic execution and project work as assigned
• Opportunity for ownership of incremental categories through innovation growth and business transformation
  
  

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or Finance
• 3+ years relevant industry experience, preferred in procurement
• Preferred: Former experience in ingredient industry markets in USA / Canada
• Nice to have: experience in SAP, Coupa
