We are excited to announce an opening for a full-time Special Education EBD Teacher at our high school. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a supportive and dynamic team dedicated to making a positive impact on students' lives.
Position Details
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
Contract Year: 2024-2025
Employment Terms: According to the NEA Teacher Contract
Salary Range: $55,441 - $91,619, based on qualifications and experience
Key Responsibilities
Specialized Instruction: Develop and deliver tailored educational programs to address the academic, functional, and social/emotional/behavioral needs of students.
Student Evaluation: Assess and monitor students' academic, functional, and behavioral progress.
IEP Management: Serve as the IEP (Individualized Education Program) Manager for assigned students, ensuring all goals and objectives are met.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with Educational Assistants and other educators to support student learning.
Parent Communication: Maintain open and regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.
Documentation: Complete all necessary due process procedures and paperwork accurately and on time.
Qualifications
Required: Minnesota Department of Teaching license in Emotional Behavior Disorder. Other special education licensures will be considered, and having multiple licenses is preferred.
Contract Highlights
Base Salary Range: $55,441 - $91,619 (based on qualifications and experience)
Work-from-Home Option: Available on designated teacher workdays (7 days in the 2024-2025 school year)
Duty Days: 187 days with ten annual leave days (up to 5 personal days per year, with a total accumulation up to 200 days)
Maternity Leave: Up to 8 weeks of district-paid maternity leave (this does not count against personal accumulated leave)
