Special Education Case Manager at McIlvaine Early Childhood Center for the 2024-2025 School Year

Full-time Special Education Case Manager for J. Ralph McIlvaine Early Childhood Center. Applicants must be certified in Special Education as well and have successful classroom teaching experience in Special Education (minimum of 5 years preferred). Applicant will be responsible for case management responsibilities, leading professional development, and supporting classroom interventions. Experience with early childhood students preferred. Applicant must meet State of DE certification requirements for Special Education Teacher of Students with Disabilities K-12. Successful candidates must provide evidence of successful PRAXIS II scores in Special Education or provide a current and valid out of state teaching license in these areas. Responsibilities

  • MTSS Data Review
  • IEP / ER meetings and IEP record keeping
  • Provides 504 Support as needed
  • IDEA compliance/audit monitoring
  • Unit Count Support as needed.
  • Provides Instructional and Behavioral Support as needed
  • Transition Age Planning and Implementation
  • Should have an extensive knowledge of special education technology (Eschool, Power School, DELSIS, I-Tracker Pro Data Systems)
  • Classroom instruction as needed.
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in an Elementary Special Education setting.

Out of State Candidates: An educator applying for a license in the State of DE with less than 1 year of experience will be placed on an Initial License. Applicants with one completed year of experience, but less than 4 years of experience will receive an Initial License. The State of Delaware DOE may recognize standard certificates from all other states as a means of eligibility.

SALARY: In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience and degree. Benefits package included.

  • Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
  • All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
  • Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following: proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver’s License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
