Responsible for managing and supervising all areas of the salon, spa, and gift shop including its programs, services, hours of operation, facilities and staff. Coordinates the delivery of spa services, including salon, skin care, fitness and wellness, massage, program coordinating, reservations, reception desk and locker room areas. Directs and works with the management team and hourly employees to successfully execute all spa operations. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED
Experience working in a salon and spa
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Assisting with the screening and selection of all qualified spa candidates, communicating performance expectations, providing Associates with ongoing feedback, mentoring, and conducting official performance reviews
Developing and monitoring financial strategies to increase revenues while controlling operating expenses, monitoring annual budget and forecasts, reviewing monthly financial statements, utilizing yield management strategies, implementing inventory management and purchasing procedures, as well as monitoring and adjusting staffing levels, spa service appointments and operational expenses, to maximize spa profitability
Coordinating new hires and continuing training programs and ensuring the facility is maintained to luxury spa standards
Strategically and proactively developing programs, marketing initiatives, and promotions to increase revenue-generating opportunities, enhance the guest experience, and increase the repeat guest base
Develop procedures for accurate inventory control and monitoring
Research and make recommendations for alternative treatment and product partners
Reviews comment cards, guest satisfaction results and other data to identify areas of improvement
Develops, implements and maintains a Salon & Spa orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally
Stay updated on industry trends, new treatments, and techniques to enhance the salon & spa offerings
Ensures compliance with all state licensing and health requirements
Demonstrates a working knowledge of all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees and guests
Ensure Salon & Spa Associates are up to date on communication pertaining to the Salon & Spa & Hotel happenings
Oversee the optimization of the Appointment Book weekly, daily and hourly to meet business demands and maximize service providers’ schedules, including but not limited to, moving breaks and adjusting start and end times of shifts
Conduct inventory of retail, professional and guest supplies on a monthly basis
Maintain par levels of the products used in the salon & spa
Manages Salon & Spa controllable expenses such guest amenities, linen expense, professional salon products, and other supplies to achieve or exceed budgeted goals
