Since 2009, we have supported the successful implementation of over $500 million worth of distributed solar PV and battery energy storage systems for which we provided independent technical and financial feasibility analyses, project development (competitive solicitation) support, project implementation management (overseeing design, interconnection, incentive applications, and construction), and continue to provide ongoing asset management services (performance monitoring, operations & maintenance, revenue program management, detailed energy & financial performance reporting) for a portfolio of over 500 solar PV & battery energy storage systems


TerraVerde Energy is searching for a Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will report to the Director of Projects and will manage solar PV and battery energy storage projects for our clients. Our clients include school district, water agencies, local governments, and commercial enterprises largely in California. In this client facing role, you will be the day-to-day face of the company. You will need to capture client project requirements, understand the technical, legal, regulatory and permitting challenges to deliver a solution. From there, you’ll craft a plan to deliver projects through full implementation. To be successful, you will need a problem-solving mindset and the ability to drill into important details. Responsibilities

The Project Manager will assume management responsibilities on solar, battery, microgrid, and other energy projects. The Project Manager will interface with TerraVerde clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to shepherd projects through the design, permitting, construction, and commissioning phases to ensure that projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, and within the agreed-upon scope.

  5. Oversee projects through design, construction, and commissioning phases
  6. Collaborate with TerraVerde team members, contractors, clients, and other parties as needed to advance and ensure project success
  7. Represent TerraVerde and clients in project meetings throughout the various stages projects
  8. Traveling to project sites & client locations as necessary
  9. Provide as-needed reporting on project progress
  10. Collaborate with other business units at TerraVerde as-needed to support company-wide needs and objectives
  11. Other responsibilities in keeping with TerraVerde Energy’s mission

  • Understanding of solar PV and energy storage project economics


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in solar PV and / or battery project management
  • Undergraduate engineering degree
  • Demonstrated previous experience designing solar PV and energy storage systems
  • Competent with data analysis using MS Excel


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing commercial-scale solar PV and battery projects in California
  • Experience working with California public agencies
  • Graduate engineering degree


Compensation Plan:

  • Salary Range: $120-140k
  • Bonus Compensation Range: 10-15% of salary
  • Health/Dental/Vision: Eligible the first of the month after 30 days of employment.
  • 401(k) Plan: Eligible after six months of employment.
  • Paid Time-Off & Holidays
  • Majority Remote Work
