CLA Engineers is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Soil Scientist to join our team. As a Soil Scientist at CLA Engineers, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and support on all aspects of soil assessment and management for a wide range of projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough soil surveys and investigations to determine physical, chemical, and biological properties of soils.
• Analyze soil data to assess the potential impact of land use and development on soil quality and provide recommendations for soil conservation.
• Advise on the selection and appropriate use of soil conservation practices, such as crop rotation, terracing, and irrigation techniques.
• Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to develop plans for land use, drainage, and erosion control.
• Conduct soil testing and analysis using laboratory equipment and software, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in soil science research and technology.
• Prepare detailed reports, maps, and charts presenting soil data and findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on soil-related issues.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and efficient project delivery.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Soil Science, Agronomy, Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in soil science, preferably in an engineering or consulting environment.
• Strong knowledge of soil analysis techniques and equipment.
• Proficient in soil mapping and interpretation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audience.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• In-depth understanding of environmental regulations and guidelines related to soil management.
  
  

Salary: $38,000 to $58,000 yearly
