You Are

UST is searching for a Software Tester. You will be part of a team engaged in the development and validation of SW tools used for the semiconductor product validation. You will be responsible to validate the functional and user experience requirements of the SW tools.

The Opportunity

• Understand the Functional and user experience features of the SW tool.
• Develop test cases to validate the tool.
• Execution of test cases and provide the test results.
• QA Test Automation using Python scripting language.
• Triage, file, and follow through defects till closure.
• Generate and publish product quality indicators.
• Collaborate with Customer team to meet deadlines in test development and execution.
• Publish daily and weekly status reports.
  
  

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What You Need

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/ computer engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in SW validation involving PC platform features.
• Familiarity to setup and configure computer platforms with Windows Operating system
• 1+ years of experience in developing test cases for SW product validation.
• 1+ years of experience in triaging/ debug of issues related to BIOS/ PC platform features.
• 1+ years of experience in Python scripting
• Knowledge of test automation and ability to automate QA test plan using python scripting.
• Ability to understand SW product requirements and develop test cases to validate them.
• Ability to understand, articulate and isolate the issues observed during test execution.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with different teams.
• Knowledge of power and thermal features of computer systems
• Knowledge in Linux Operating System
  
  

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: California

Compensation Range: $46,000-$70,000

Our full-time, regular associates are eligible for 401K matching, and vacation accrual and are covered from day 1 for paid sick time, healthcare, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits. Depending on the role, some associates may also be eligible for stock options.
