The Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.

The Job

Airfam Products team empowers Airbnb employees to access the information within the company with ease. We enable Airbnb employees to be more productive and feel more connected to their colleagues. Airfam products is also responsible for building a culture of belonging in the company. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Airfam Products team, you will be responsible for building the digital experience for Airbnb employees. Your primary focus will be building an integration with a 3rd party platform to ingest events/gathering information for Airfam. You will be building a personalized user experience that helps Airfam discover events happening near them and connect with people. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers and data engineers to personalize event recommendations for Airfam.

Responsibilities

  • Build delightful user experiences using web technologies.
  • Work with Product Managers and Designers to understand product requirements.
  • Work with various teams across the organization to understand their needs.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers and other engineers to build an integrated experience for events within our internal site.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full stack software development experience with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/EE, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Javascript and TypeScript to generate components and user interfaces for the web.
  • Experience with GraphQL and other precompiled technologies.
  • Experience with building 3rd party vendor integrations
  • Experience building backend services with Node.js
  • Prior experience with React and preferably Next.js
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
  • Excellent communication skills with a history of strong collaborations with technical and non-technical partners.

Education

  • College diploma or university degree, an asset.

Pay Rate Range: $103.82-$122.14/hour.
