First for Women and Woman's World are seeking a dynamic Social Media Editor to join our team! You must be able to work out of the Company's New Jersery office. This role will play a pivotal part in enhancing our digital presence across various social media platforms. The Social Media Editor is a team player, excited to collaborate as we grow these iconic brands beloved by the 40+ community. You are passionate about sharing the latest on celebrities, recipes, wellness, nostalgia, and entertainment news to these loving and knowledgeable audiences, and have an excitement and passion for connecting with readers.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all social media networks including Facebook, X, Instagram, Pinterest.
  • Collaborate closely with the editorial team to develop and execute social media strategies aligned with editorial content.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive social media calendar.
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Community management across all platforms.
  • Assist in crafting and posting ad campaigns across social media platforms.
  • Provide weekly analytics and feedback for the editorial team.
  • Translate magazine content into engaging social media posts that resonate with our target demographic.
  • Light video filming and editing of weekly cover announcement Reels and trending videos.
  • Assists with major initiatives as well as day-to-day news operations, video, social takeovers, cover rollouts, and more.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of experience in managing social media platforms, preferably in a magazine or editorial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting social media for a magazine publication.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of social media analytics and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in True Anthem or similar social media management tools.
