The Service Technician will be responsible with performing a vast number of vehicle technical tasks, vehicles accountability and facility maintenance.
Pay Rate: $19.00
Responsibilities
Check and maintain automotive fluids levels in pool vehicles: gas, oil, windshield wiper
Conduct vehicle safety inspection: check tire pressure, safety devices such as seat belts, horn, airbags, gages, parking brake operations, mirrors etc.
Wash automobiles, trucks, and vans assigned to the pool coordinator prior to renting
Perform wash, vacuum, or complete auto detailing for customers’ vehicles
Install decals, logos, county seal and signage lettering for motor pool fleet
Conduct daily vehicle count and parking lot space location
Daily Jump-start and operational vehicles maintenance
Picking up and delivering vehicles to different locations; shops, dealers and vendors as required
Road-testing vehicles on public streets and highways when required
Conduct supply inventory of facility supplies and submit requisition
Keep work tools and equipment in clean and working condition
Ensure that company standards of cleanliness and appearance are met or exceeded in offices, restrooms, hallways and company units and any interior/exterior and other assigned facilities
Ensure that the safe handling and storage of chemicals and cleaners used in performing of daily work duties at your respective locations comply with safety standards
Perform all work using safe work practices and in accordance with policy
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must have a valid CA Driver’s License
Must complete County requirement Live Scan
Current automotive knowledge required
Must be able to maintain a safety-minded approach on all work performed
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is typically based in one of five busy service maintenance garage environments, may require occasional on-the-road maintenance repairs. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by established Company Safety Standards. Normal work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may also be required.
Physical Requirements
May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
