Position Overview
The Senior Vice President of Actuarial and Healthcare Economics leads a diverse team of actuaries, statisticians, analysts, and healthcare experts focused on risk management, data analysis, and financial strategy to support our healthcare businesses. This pivotal role plays a crucial part in achieving organizational objectives through strategic reserving, medical expense forecasting, identifying cost management opportunities, and evaluating healthcare affordability initiatives. The leader will collaborate closely with stakeholders to communicate financial and clinical performance effectively.

This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S.

Primary Responsibilities
- Drive the organization's analytics strategy, leveraging claims and clinical data to develop population health and medical expense affordability analytics.
- Provide strategic guidance through clinical, network, and financial analysis, consulting, and reporting across various business functions.
- Lead a complex organization specializing in healthcare economics, risk management, data management, and network strategy.
- Partner with business leadership to gain insights and optimize analytic capabilities to meet business objectives.
- Oversee monthly medical expense forecasts, reserving, pricing trends, and evaluation of healthcare affordability initiatives.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across business, finance, clinical, network, affordability, and product teams.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Over 15 years of experience in Actuarial and Healthcare Economics, with 10+ years in senior management roles.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with senior executives.
- Proven track record in managing complex actuarial tasks with significant financial and risk implications.
- Expertise in medical cost reserving, trend analysis, and medical expense forecasting.
- Experience collaborating with non-actuarial teams such as underwriting, clinical, finance, network, and product teams.
- Deep understanding of the healthcare industry within a complex organizational structure.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information to senior management.
- FSA designation preferred.
