Job Title: Senior UX / Design System Designer

Location: Remote OR Hybrid options available in Denver area

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Senior UX Designer at Cheddar Up, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience of our platform. You will be responsible for designing intuitive, engaging, and consistent user experiences across all our products (including both web and mobile app). This role requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for user-centered design, and the ability to balance user needs with business goals. You will collaborate closely with our tight-knit product team including product managers, developers, and our lead designer to create high-quality design solutions that drive user satisfaction and business success.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Design & Design System:

  • Participate in designing user interfaces for web and mobile applications using Figma.
  • Be the resident Figma expert and help roll out a newly formed Design System into the existing product.
  • Continue to develop, expand and maintain Design System to ensure consistency across all products.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design concepts.
  • Help ensure design consistency and coherence across all products and platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX/UI design.


Collaboration:

  • Work closely with client success, product managers and developers to understand requirements and provide design solutions.
  • Present design ideas and concepts to stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine and improve designs.
  • Collaborate with lead designer to ensure a cohesive user experience across all products.


User-Centered Design:

  • Apply user-centered design principles to create user-friendly and accessible designs.
  • Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Analyze user feedback and data to inform design decisions and improve the overall user experience..


QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • 5-8+ years of experience in UX/UI design and collaborating with front-end engineers, preferably in a fast-paced tech company.
  • Proven experience with Figma and other design tools.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in product design, user research, and design systems.


Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to take constructive feedback and iterate on designs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of front-end development principles is a plus.

  • Demonstrates ambition, collaboration, and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Must be comfortable working in fast-paced environments and possess excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of accountability and ability to meet deadlines..


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Salary Range: $120,000-$140,000 per year, depending on prior relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
