You Are

UST is looking for a seasoned Senior Technical Scrum Master to lead our Operations Team's adoption of agile methodologies for managing DevOps operational enablers and upgrades. This pivotal role involves architecting and managing the Scrum board, implementing advanced practices, and providing guidance through coaching, leadership, and mentorship.

The Opportunity

  • Lead the Operations Team in transitioning to agile methodologies for managing intricate DevOps operational tasks and upgrades.
  • Establish and curate the Scrum board to offer detailed insights into tasks, progress, and priorities.
  • Drive the implementation of advanced practices for agile development and DevOps operations, ensuring optimal efficiency and continuous enhancement.
  • Mentor, coach, and guide team members on intricate agile principles, the Scrum framework, and DevOps practices.
  • Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to synchronize priorities, untangle dependencies, and ensure seamless delivery.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies with precision, encompassing sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, impediments, and bottlenecks to bolster team productivity and delivery.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, transparency, and perpetual learning within the Operations Team.
  • Forge effective communication channels with stakeholders, offering deep insights into team progress, challenges, and milestones.
  • Employ advanced monitoring techniques to refine team performance continually, leveraging metrics and feedback to drive success.
  • Collaborate closely with the team to create comprehensive operational documentation, including knowledge base articles, deployment artifacts, upgrade chronologies, and change documentation.
  • Leverage infrastructure and technology background to break down enabler features into technical stories and guide the team as needed to break silos and foster collaboration across technical domains.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification, coupled with extensive hands-on experience.
  • Proven track record as a Scrum Master leading technically adept teams in intricate environments.
  • Profound understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and toolchains.
  • Have previous hands-on experience as a DevOps engineer.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills tailored for technical contexts.
  • Proven ability to inspire and galvanize team members toward collective objectives.
  • Demonstrated knack for fostering innovation and driving continuous improvement in technical workflows.
  • Good understanding on the array of technical tools, including Jira, Confluence, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Kanban and Lean, with a penchant for applying them in nuanced scenarios.
  • Resilience in navigating fast-paced, ever-evolving environments, coupled with an innate ability to adapt to shifting priorities.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Remote

Compensation Range: $80,000-$120,000

Our full-time, regular associates are eligible for 401K matching, and vacation accrual and are covered from day 1 for paid sick time, healthcare, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits.
