Rutgers University is currently seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Mid-Level Storage Engineer within our dynamic IT team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge Dell/EMC storage technologies such as VMAX/PowerMax, Isilon, ECS, Data Domain, and Veritas NetBackup.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain storage solutions based on Dell/EMC technologies including VMAX/PowerMax, Isilon, ECS, Data Domain, and Veritas NetBackup.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess storage needs and develop efficient storage strategies.
Monitor and optimize storage performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues in a timely manner.
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions using Veritas NetBackup.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in storage and backup technologies.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2+ years of experience working with Dell/EMC storage technologies, including VMAX/PowerMax, Isilon, ECS, Data Domain, and Veritas NetBackup.
Strong understanding of storage concepts and protocols such as SAN, NAS, NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, etc.
Proficiency in configuring and managing storage arrays and storage networks.
Experience with backup and recovery solutions, particularly Veritas NetBackup.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
