• In-depth ICF Catalog experience – maintain, clean it up, etc.
• They will have ACS routine experience (usually a mess) if they have ICF Catalog experience.

General Details of the Group:

• There is a risk that the mainframe services team has regarding the retiring workforce.
• Supports 40 Sys-Plexes
• 7 Complexes – all zOS
• The biggest issues are not Prio 1 and Prio 2, so the main problem is that they may lose more people. So, losing people will be difficult. There are so many activities in Storage that they should be looking at a lot more proactively.
• Has had a 35% footprint increase in the past year. They have apps that grow homogenously, and they need to architect and engineer the future state.
• If you place an excellent storage person from another environment here, they will still only be 40% effective. A training program is essential.
• They have CSM, GDBS, IBM DAS, Dicon Director, Network Connectivity, And VDS (100% Tapeless) CA1 Tape experience.
• Support the Teradata environment –
• TCT—Transfer Cloud Tiering is being implemented right now. IBM shops and does its best to stay on the bleeding edge of mainframe storage technology.

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Mainframe Storage Engineer to join our Technology Services Group—mainframe team. This role is in Lake Mary, FL, or Pittsburgh, PA— HYBRID.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Work with the team on Mainframe Storage software and hardware products and provide insights on Integrated Catalog Facility-related projects.
• Planned, installed, and supported the DS8000 Disk series, including provisioning, SKLM setup and function for Data Encryption, Ficon port layout connectivity, and IBM Global Mirror/Metro Mirror.
• Utilizing IBM, CSM, GDPS replication software, and the network connective for DASD Replication to remote sites.
• Troubleshooting and monitoring Mainframe storage utilizing CA-Vantage, SMF records, SAS, Dcollect, SanNav, and Spectrum Control.
• Create reports and analyze data to create capacity models for future disk requirements and track DASD growth trends.
• Configuring and supporting Brocade Gen7 Ficon switches, SanNav, and Brocade 7840s for replication to remote sites for DASD and Tape.
• Researching and implementing new Storage products, including IBM Safe Guarded Copy.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 10-12 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
• Mainframe Storage support experience.
• Proficient with ICF Catalog maintenance, DFSMS, and DFHSM.
