Overview:


Studio McGee is seeking an experienced creative and strategic Senior Social Media Content Producer to develop engaging content for our social media platforms under the direction of the Social Media Director. This role focuses on concepting, capturing, creating, and editing, content for TikTok and Instagram, aligning with our brand ethos and driving engagement and growth.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Ideate, produce, film and/or edit platform-specific video content (primarily iPhone) for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Youtube Shorts, as well as original content (long-form) for YouTube webisodes.
  • Confidently direct talent on set for long and short form videos, both scripted and non-scripted.
  • Focus on editing for vertical, multi-shot capture (TikTok, Instagram Reels).
  • Create briefs and pitch concepts to highlight brand initiatives through video content.
  • Show proficiency in video editing platforms and mobile creator apps (e.g., Instagram Story creation, TikTok editing).
  • Develop video content that drives engagement and growth, aligning with brand ethos.
  • Utilize trend data to pitch platform-specific social and original content concepts.
  • Create and post relevant content daily across all social media platforms.
  • Participate in planning and executing coverage for large content initiatives and events.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (creative director and team, social, and brand) on assets and deadlines.


Initiatives and Objectives:


  • Identify and utilize social media trends to create high-performing content.
  • Support all pillars of Studio McGee and McGee & Co. efficiently.
  • Develop content themes aligning with Studio McGee’s aesthetic.
  • Incorporate real-time, underproduced content.
  • Implement monetization strategies across social media channels.
  • Engage with the audience through timely, responsive, and educational content.
  • Use social media content to drive traffic and monetization.
  • Increase engagement and build relationships through shoppable entertainment.


Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a Social Media Content Producer or similar role, with a focus on TikTok and Instagram.
  • Strong video editing skills and a passion for creating engaging video content.
  • Excellent understanding of social media trends and platform-specific best practices.
  • Experience with brand management and aligning content with brand ethos.
  • Ability to think creatively and experiment with new content ideas.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Videography or design education or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven success on TikTok and understanding of platform trends and nuances.
  • Some experience with an editing software such as; Avid, Adobe Premiere, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Exceptional storytelling skills and ability to create emotional content.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to balance multiple projects.
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to write quickly and accurately.
  • Experience writing briefs and pitching concepts that further KPIs.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Social Producer/Editor across various platforms. Previous work in marketing or creative preferred.
  • Ability to provide a demo reel of work.
  • Experience using social data tools to inform content creation.
