Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Manager, Strategy who has experience with audience insights, cultural and societal shifts, media trends, creative influences and business dynamics to build informed recommendations for communications strategy and media delivery. You will report into the Senior Director, Audience & Insights and this hybrid opportunity will sit in our New York office.

Your performance mindset will look to marry data, creativity, media, technology and performance channels to build our clients' brands and transform their business.

3+ years of experience with Audience building and analysis through the lens of Media will help develop insights that ensure outcome-led planning. A fundamental understanding of how to interpret qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and syndicated tools will be beneficial. You will stay up to date with the competitive landscape as it pertains to the creative work, brand tone, channel choices, use of media and ideas within the category and industry.

We need someone with experience in communications strategy and media strategy. Someone who is a team player and a positive influence on team culture.

INSIGHTS

  • Insights seeker, with a media/marketing background, partners with Integrated Planning teams, Media Activation and other capabilities teams doing research, data visualization and analysis
  • Areas of insights focus include Customer, Culture, Company, Category, Communications and Commerce
  • Visualization (formatting data and bringing them to life in PowerPoint)
  • Project Manage

STORYTELLING

  • Define and frames problems and solutions in unexpected, interesting ways
  • Present to clients
  • Proficient in writing compelling case studies and award entries (Effies, etc) and incorporates this thinking proactively in brand campaigns

CONNECTING THE DOTS

  • Collaborate with dentsu teams, balancing the needs of the client with the needs of the team/agency to provide a "one team" mentality
  • Master of the details that create the larger vision for clients ( results in annual planning versus just campaign thinking)
  • Knowledgeable in communication planning to provide 360 plans
  • Create communication frameworks to define approaches and inspire innovation solutions

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of exposure to Media and Communications Strategy·
  • Research & Insight Discovery: Understands the research tools available and use them to bring information and insights for better, more data-driven strategy and media recommendations
  • 3+ years of experience using audience insights tools like MRI/Simmons or GWI both in analyzing data and writing applicable insights from the data
  • Experience working with multiple media channels for communications and connections, and their role in achieving brand and performance KPIs
  • Abilitie to interpret data and research to develop meaningful insights
  • Navigate and speak to the complexities of the media landscape
  • Storyteller, writer and presenter
  • Fundamental knowledge of the entire media ecosystem, with the ability to bring strategic insights on how your clients should evolve

Additional Information

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $94,000 - $152,375

Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
