Summary

Senior Manager, Intercompany & Tax Accounting position is mainly responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting activities related to inter-company transactions and the preparation of consolidated financial statements and preparing corporate income tax and other taxes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and control for inter-company transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal guidelines
    • Monitor and reconcile inter-company balances and transactions, including inter-company loans, sales, purchases, and expense allocations
    • Collaborate with various departments and subsidiaries to resolve inter-company discrepancies and ensure accurate and timely recording of inter-company transactions
    • Lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting principles and regulations
    • Coordinate with subsidiary accounting teams to collect and review financial information necessary for consolidation
    • Perform analysis and reconciliation of inter-company balances and elimination entries to ensure accurate consolidation of financial results
    • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, reflecting the consolidated financial performance of the organization
    • Ensure compliance with IFRS and GAAP in the preparation of consolidated financial statements
    • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to inter-company transactions and consolidated financial statements
    • Prepare financial disclosures and footnotes for regulatory filings and external reporting requirements
  • Implement and maintain internal controls in compliance with SOX requirements, including documentation of control processes, testing, and remediation activities
    • Conduct risk assessments to identify key control points and potential weaknesses in financial processes and systems
    • Lead tax accounting oversight, ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and strategic planning
    • Guarantee timely and precise completion of all tax filings across federal, state, and local levels
    • Manage the preparation and review of tax provisions and associated documentation, including financial disclosures
    • Provide guidance to accounting team, advising on tax implications of business decisions, and staying updated on tax laws
    • Collaborate with external auditors and advisors to resolve tax issues efficiently and maintain compliance
    • Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to control processes and financial reporting
  • Participate in the implementation of new accounting software or system upgrades
  • Document policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility
  • Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned
  • Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes
  • Other duties as assigned
Compensation Range

  • $118k- $134k per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

  • Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems Required
  • Accounting Knowledge and experience Required
  • Bilingual in Korean Preferred

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • 8-13 Years of Direct Experience in Accounting Required
  • 10-15 Years of Direct Experience in Accounting Preferred
  • 4-7 Years of Supervisory experience Preferred
  • CPA License Preferred
