About the position:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst with a strong background corporate FP&A and/or in corporate financial modeling. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience, with expertise in creating and maintaining advanced Excel models tailored for the specific needs of the business. Background in renewable energy is an added benefit.

As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will:

• Develop and own a flexible three-statement projection model to support internal and external activities, including forward-looking analysis, long-range planning, cash flow / funding, underwriter analysis (lender/investor KPIs) and strategic alternatives and valuation, amongst others.
• Develop multiyear financial plan to communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including as part of an IPO or strategic sale.
• Corporate Finance Modeling : Construct, manage, and optimize advanced financial models that accurately capture the sum of all parts of the business
• Model Management : Ensure continuous improvement of FP&A models, with the flexibility to adjust and modify on an ad-hoc basis
• Ownership of MN8 Energy Corporate Model : Regularly update the corporate model to reflect the latest business scenarios and forecasts
• Ownership of MN8 Sell Side Analyst Model : Have complete ownership of the sell side analyst model, ensuring its accuracy, relevance, and value to stakeholders
• Five-Year Model Management : Own and maintain our 5, 10 and 35-year forecast models, leveraging it to support the company’s long-term strategy and assist the executive team in decision-making
• Accuracy & Consistency : Ensure that all models are built with an emphasis on accuracy and consistency across different corporate finance models
• Change Management : Develop and maintain a change log that captures all respective updates to the model, ensuring full transparency and traceability
• Collaboration : Collaborate closely with FP&A, Operations, and other relevant teams to collect necessary data for model updates and enhancements

Our Ideal Candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s in finance/accounting required, MBA and/or CFA preferred
• 2-5 years of experience in FP&A and/or corporate financial modeling preferred
• Expert financial modeling skills with demonstrable experience and ability to develop complex three statement models in excel for multiple purposes (financial analysis, investor/lender analysis, etc.)
• Advanced Excel skills, particularly in constructing complex financial models
• Demonstrated ability to own and manage multiple finance models
• Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders. Spanish is a plus.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs
• Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Humble, roll up your sleeves approach
• Experience in renewable energy/Electric Power generation industry is a plus
