Senior Director, Business Operations

Overview

Job Purpose

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for operational aspects of the ICE Futures US (IFUS) business, to broadly include technology and information security. Additionally, this critical role will lead, manage and implement critical projects as well as being the deputy for the IFUS President as appropriate.

The successful candidate will report to the IFUS President and will interact regularly with senior management at Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and relevant industry stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Operational responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring that day-to-day operational issues with respect to the activities of IFUS are managed and addressed:
• Receiving and reviewing management information pertaining to the Exchanges operations
• Dealing with and resolving market issues and complaints;
• Working with the Exchange to ensure implementation and ongoing operation of Risk Appetite Framework for the Exchange
• Laison with Market Supervision and IT
• Working closely with clients in the softs markets to understand market developments and build relationships in order to tap industry knowledge
• Working with colleagues across ICE Exchanges and Clearing Houses to bring together regulatory and other processes around a single ICE best practice standard
• Ensuring IFUS maintains and continues to develop high levels of Operational Resilience
• Identifying opportunities to increase operational efficiency and reduce operational risk
• Oversight of services received from ICE group and other group entities
• Membership across IFUS and IFEU product committees and aligning rules, regulatory changes and standards where required
• Development of relationships with softs players in the US and EU for business development, planning and information gathering
• Manage Internal Audit and Planning
• Manage BCP for across exchange and commodity operations
  

Schedule

This role is on-site in our New York, NY office.

New York Base Salary Range

The expected base salary for this role if located in New York City is between 284,200 - 346,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
