Senior Data Scientist

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an internationally renowned Trading company. They are trading in commodities, specializing in oil, gas, LNG and Power. where you will get to work on a variety of projects. You will be spearheading the development of comprehensive analytics projects for the company's different divisions, overseeing the entire lifecycle from conception to delivery. In this role, you'll immerse yourself in the intricacies of analytics, model workflows, and data pipelines, focusing on our manufacturing business while providing crucial support across the entire enterprise.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the Data Science projects from end-to-end.
• Utilizing and integrating LLMs (e.g., GPT, BERT) for natural language processing (NLP) tasks such as sentiment analysis, market news analysis, and automated report generation to enhance trading decisions.
• Utilizing statistical analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights from data, and effectively communicate these findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay updated on cutting-edge AI technologies and open-source libraries, guaranteeing our solutions retain their position at the vanguard of innovation.

Requirements:

• 7+ years' experience developing Machine Learning models and applications.
• Knowledge of the North American energy and power markets.
• Extensive experience with Machine Learning, Deep Learning.
• Data Visualization tools e.g. Tableau.
• Experience working with energy and financial data, such as energy prices, supply and demand data.
• Cloud-based technology experience such as AWS.

This role is based in Houston and they work on a hybrid model. Salary offered is $170,000. They have a very good bonus structure which is directly dependent on what your models and solutions make for the traders. It is not rare to see bonuses being 100% of salary.
