We are seeking a skilled commercial lawyer to join our fun, dynamic, and collaborative legal team at RVO Health. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission while working with a broad range of legal matters. We highly value experience in the consumer-facing digital health space and possessing product knowledge would be a plus. As a key member of our legal team, the right candidate will be comfortable being a generalist while also being willing to roll up their sleeves and jump in wherever needed.

Where You`ll Be:

To prioritize togetherness, culture, and accountability, RVO Health operates on a hybrid in-office work schedule. We expect employees to work from our South Charlotte office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. You are welcome to work remotely Mondays and Fridays if you wish.

What You’ll Do

• Act as in-house counsel for our expanding comprehensive consumer healthcare platform, connecting individuals with the information and care they need throughout their personal health journeys.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including advertising technology contracts, data agreements, and software and technology licenses.
• Utilize your expertise in commercial contracts to support our growing portfolio of Health and Wellness focused digital products.
• Collaborate closely with the Deputy General Counsel on matters related to RVO Health's growth and innovation, emphasizing product reviews within the health and wellness regulatory landscape.
• Identify opportunities to contribute to our AI integration and growth initiatives.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• RVO Health is building out a legal team of lawyers who excel at collaboration, possess an exceptional ability to distill complex areas of the law into advice that is digestible and actionable by our business clients, and who are solution oriented and focused on facilitating business objectives. You must be egoless, value collaboration, and be ready to put in the hard work to accomplish whatever the job demands.
• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school and member of the bar of a U.S. jurisdiction
• 5-10 years of legal experience
• Experience reviewing digital products is a plus!
• Willing to join our monthly team meetings in our Washington, D.C. offices. Preference for candidates a car ride or train ride away.
• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and navigate amid uncertainty with a can-do, problem-solving attitude is a must! We are not the legal team of “no” or ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - instead we are equal parts risk identifiers and problem solvers. And if you can liven up your legal advice with some humor, that is a plus (and always encouraged).
