Senior Buyer

You will support the Purchasing Department processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, and tracking orders to ensure operational needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Manage designated materials
• Place order for special materials and communicate delivery information to scheduling
• Place POs as needed to meet production demands
• Investigate and resolve shipping errors from vendors
• Reconcile PO, packing slips, and invoice disputes on managed materials
• Update items in data file as needed to keep accurate units of measure 64UOM), vendor information, and current pricing
• Conduct inventory when required
• Familiar with cycle counts and month-end inventory.
• Assist on various purchasing related projects as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2-5 years of buying experience
• Working knowledge of computers such as MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook
• Experience with an ERP system in a manufacturing environment; NetSuite experience is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
