About The Senior Business Process Engineer Role


Reporting to the VP, Insights Technologies, as a member of the Insights Technologies team, the Senior Business Process Engineer is an individual who deeply understands Material business processes, technologies, provides root cause analyses, collaborates on change management, and works with colleagues & partners on Insights, Data & Analytics and IT teams to deliver improvements and innovation. This individual works closely with internal decision makers, project teams and partners to to deliver better outcomes for our people & client through better processes


A successful Senior Business Process Engineer will have delivered a suite of processes that work without being noticed, owned by teams & individuals that intuitively participate without friction or frustration. They will have had mastered the arts of:


  • Process Analysis: analyze existing business processes within an organization to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Process Design & Improvement: design and implement new processes or refine existing ones to make them more efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Change Management: lead change management efforts to ensure that process changes are effectively communicated, understood, and adopted by relevant stakeholders across the organization.
  • Performance Optimization: monitor performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of the changes and identify further opportunities for optimization.
  • Training & Development: develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on new processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Collaboration: facilitate cross-functional teamwork to ensure that process improvements are implemented successfully and deliver value to the organization.


As a Senior Business Process Engineer, you will

  • Manage and create process improvement policies and infrastructure, keeping up to date with trends and standards
  • Manage cross-functional teams in all phases of process improvement projects
  • Develop and establish best practices for the Process Engineering function
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on the implementation of new processes within and across teams
  • Create recommendations for process changes including estimation of benefits, both material and intangible
  • Work with stakeholders to identify potential projects, their feasibility, and define business problems and their root causes
  • Lead status update meetings and present updates to project sponsors/stakeholders
  • Define scope, success criteria, and benefits for projects
  • Forecast impact of process changes using a variety of methods including SPC
  • Support the integration of Material companies through process improvement/change/implementation projects tailored to standardize our way of work


About You

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Public Management, Sociology or related field
  • Experience and/or familiarity of project management and/or in research methods & techniques.
  • Lean /Six Sigma certification at Green Belt level or above is required.
  • At least two years specialized experience in leading interdisciplinary multiple project teams
  • At least four years of specialized experience in project management, process improvement or business analysis.

Pay Range: $91,600.00 - 131,800.00

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Material. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
