What You’ll Do

The Senior Associate, Executive Support and Operations provides critical capacity to the enterprise Revenue and Development Team by managing the administrative and operational work for the Office of the Chief Revenue and Development Officer (CRDO) and the Teach For America Development leadership team. As primary support for the CRDO and members of the leadership team, your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining a system to prioritize how the CRDO leverages her time, complex calendar management for high-level meetings with senior executives inside and outside the organization, coordinating complex travel and logistics, supporting the CRDO and leadership team expense management and reports, managing logistics for development leadership team and full-team engagements, and other high-impact projects as needed.

You recognize and value the essential nature of operations in running a successful team and are eager to support the CRDO and Development leadership team to maximize their priorities, capacity, and time.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

CRDO and Leadership Team Support (50%)

  • Lead strategic calendar management and scheduling support in alignment with the priorities of the CRDO and Development leadership team, coordinating regular recurring as well as one-off meetings
  • Create systems and structures to ensure that the CRDO’s time is aligned with short and long-term priorities
  • Work in partnership with the Chief of Staff, Development to determine cadence and priorities for travel for the CRDO and leadership team
  • Coordinate and communicate with other operations staff, both internally and externally, to schedule meetings and coordinate travel for the CRDO and leadership team
  • Ensure that documents, materials, and notes are prepared for CRDO meetings to maximize use of work time and effective meetings
  • Manage expenses and expense reports for the CRDO and members of the Leadership team, ensuring effective use of budgetary resources


Development Leadership Team Operational Support (30%)

  • Support execution of Development team vision, priorities, goals, and strategies.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of Development leadership team key activities, processes, workstreams, and action items.
  • Support the design and processes associated with team communication.
  • Manage Development team information on Homeroom, in Google Drive, and on SharePoint and OneDrive


Special Projects (20%)

  • Support all logistics for in-person or virtual Development Leadership Team or full Development Team meetings and retreats
  • Support and nurture efforts to build a strong Development team culture by executing celebrations and recognition for the CRDO in alignment with the team culture plan
  • Support team hiring needs by managing CRDO to tasks, coordinating interview logistics, and communicating with constituents
  • Lead other special projects as requested

  • Ability to track task and scheduling completions and re-prioritize tasks and activities as context changes
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and making immediate changes with a long-term view

  • Can confidently and clearly communicate in written and verbal mediums with a variety of constituents, including senior executives and their operations support teams
  • Can “steward up” to senior executives to ensure alignment between their priorities, capacity, and time
  • Exceptional customer service orientation
  • Ability to tailor approach to consider the perspectives of others


Decision Making and Problem Solving

  • Exercise discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Ability to offer multiple potential solutions to a problem or challenge while balancing the pros and cons of each option
  • Leverage strong professional judgment when determining whether to take action versus consulting involved parties before taking a course of action
  • Can drive work independently in a remote work context


Prior Experience

  • 1-3 years of prior work experience, preferably in an administrative support role
  • Comfortable working remotely


Work Demands

  • Occasional weekend or evening work hours required
  • Some travel 3-5 times per year; may be necessary to manage logistics for any in-person engagements

This role will be an essential part of the Office of the Chief Revenue and Development Officer as part of the Revenue and Development team, supporting team leadership to maximize their time and efforts in service of our broader outcomes.

Your Compensation

The applicable salary range for each U.S.-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers according to a cost of labor index in that geographic area. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role. The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Hourly Rates:

Tier A: $27.79-$35.82

Tier B: $30.29-$39.09

Tier C: $32.79-$42.26
