The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for managing accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits. This person will engage with all facets of accounting (cash, inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, purchase accounting, debt, tax, equity, revenue, expenses, etc.) to support the monthly close process and preparation of financial statements. This role includes analysis and reconciliation of accounts and in development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and controls. The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Essential Job Duties
Establish, develop and document the company's global accounting policies
Responsible for the monthly accounting close including preparing and reviewing journal entries, analyzing, and explaining fluctuations and variances, and financial reporting to management.
Coordinates and reviews the US and global payroll, including quarterly and year-end activities
Collaborate with cross-functional business partners including Finance, Operations, Tax, and Technology teams to maintain flow of communication and support
Collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues related to unprocessed system transactions
Review and approve AP and AR transactions, including assessing, concluding and documenting accounting treatment for transactions as well as contracts review and assessment
Recommend, develop, drive process improvements to achieve efficiency and scalability, and assess identify and implement controls to address gaps in the control process
Work directly with the external auditors on accounting positions and external filings
Other duties and responsibilities as needed
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or similar
Minimum 5-7 years experience in accounting
1-3 years of payroll processing experience (experience with ADP a big plus!)
Understands relevant accounting principles and can communicate the application of GAAP to peers and business partners
Strong analytical skills are mandatory

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree, CPA or equivalent, preferred
5+ years experience in an audit or tax capacity
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365
Experience with ADP WorkforceNow, ADP Celergo
