Senior Accountant

IFG Chicago's client, located throughout the Greater Chicago Area is looking to hire a Senior Accountant. This role will be responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciliations, schedules and other financial activities within the organization. This candidate can look forward to working at one of the organization's facilities as long as they are within a commutable distance.

Hybrid work environment with half of each month WFH.

Compensation: $80,000 - $97,000.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly close duties including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules in compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare and review financial statements.
• Manage banking and cash activities
• Assist in cash flow and financial forecasting processes.
• Analyze financial information and present insights to leadership and internal stakeholders
• Assist with integration of acquisitions.
• Performs various special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 2+ years working in an accounting or audit department for a mid to large size company or audit firm.
• Competence in using ERP software and common computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
• Possess critical thinking, quantitative skills, and strong analytical skills.
• CPA certification required.
