Senior Accountant
The Regulatory Accounting Specialist will effectively communicate with Revenue, Production, and Land Administration as necessary to ensure compliance with all State regulations. The candidate will also file corrected reports, assist with volumetric reviews, audits, and exemption filing requests.
The candidate will also process, verify for accuracy, and code all regulatory invoices and assist with regulatory special projects as necessary, including all regulatory discrepancy notices and State tax exemption filings.
Bachelor's degree in accounting desired. A business degree with 18 hours of accounting will be considered. CPA a plus, 6+ years of regulatory reporting experience required or oil and gas revenue accounting experience. Familiarity with gas plant statements, and experience with WY severance/gross products and royalty reporting, and/or NM, TX, ND, OK royalty, and severance reporting a plus. Working knowledge of and ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles. Proficient in MS Excel and SQL script. Ability to gather and communicate data logically, accurately, and concisely.
Position requires sound analytical ability. Must be able to meet rigorous deadlines and work effectively with others. Must be able to perform most assignments with minimal supervision.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
